How our birds live

Here our wonderful birds roam (almost free) and can spread their wings to their own delight. Their home consists of a one acre pasture fully enclosed with a fence (for their own safety against predators) that has a large pond at the centre to keep our geese happy too. Available at all times is a large indoor aviary that allows the birds to get out of the weather if they so choose, or several smaller shelters throughout the pasture.

The birds spend their whole summer here eating grass, sun bathing, catching bugs, taking dust baths in the warm sand or playing in the pond. In the winter all of the birds are brought inside to protect them from our harsh Canadian elements and are divided up into several groups housed in large aviaries.
